Alright so they may not have anything to do with each other however, it's been so long since I've blogged (still a lame verb) that there is lots to do, let's get started.
First topic, Sudan. While struggling last year I decided that the only thing I wanted in life was to be obedient to what God wanted for my life. If you're one of those people fighting Him I wanna let you in on a secret: He'll win. I'm not saying you're not putting up a good fight or want whatever He says no too. In fact, I'm sure you make a great little rebel. We'll forget the fact that the Bible points and laughs at you calling you a fool and refers to you as "a blink of an eye" oh and a piece of dirt floating in the wind. Keep that in mind. My advice? Glad you asked. You need to decide what you want. Go on, think. I'll wait. What do you want? How badly do you want it? Until the answer is God and A WHOOOOOOOLE BUNCH you can go a head and continue to rebel. He'll still be there. ANYWAY!!.... So I gave in to Him and listened to Him tell me a short term mission trip this summer sounded peachy to HIm. So I asked Him where? And boy did He answer! Sudan was EVERYWHERE!!! Places I didn't even expect. Tv, books, random conversations I over heard (yes, I evesdrop...), church, news. errrrawher... So I decided I'd go. What else am I going to do? So I started to look into it. Then I freaked out and decided I wasn't going and I would tell everyone that I just didn't get the application in on time. That is, until the Holy Spirit got to me. Even though I didn't know it was possible I heard Sudan even more. People started to ask me about my progress on signing up. Oh bother, fine, fine I'll sign up. So I did. Now I'm just waiting to be accepted. If all that was really God I'll know soon.....
Second topic, yes yes I'm going to talk about Michael Young. For all you nonbaseball fans out there shame on you! and you can stop reading at this point. No need for you to waste your time. However, if you know what I'm talking about I'm sure you have already formed an opinion about it. Which means you'll either agree or disagree (I'm not the best at pursuading so you probably won't change your mind).
Wow Ranger management. Way to go. You know I look at Michael Young as a very calm individual. He's the guy they sit in front of the kid who kicks all the backs of seats cause they're like "Mike can handle it for the next 5 hours". WHHAAAAAAT? I'd be like mmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmm no. I feel like it takes a lot of work to piss him off. You know what I mean! so I'm sitting here applauding the management up there cause they actually did it! Outstanding work fellas, oh but one thing, that's michael young you just pissed off. YOu know the one, all time hit leader of the franchise? Fan favorite? All around top shelf player? Yeah, that guy. I feel like this situation is similar to that of Ivan Rodriguez last year. If you know me I don't even need to get started on that one. But really, same thing. We're pushing him to the back burner and making him settle. I know he hasn't found the fountain of youth or anything but come on! the guys got like 3 good years left. Besides the fact that we're losing a top notch player here he's also club house prez. Yeah, the whole feel of the team will be different. I'm no professional but I go by the 'if it ain't broke don't fix it' saying. We just got to the world series (I think this is good not at all what you might call broken) so why change the dynamics of the group? First vladdy and now this? why don't you just tell them all not to smile or laugh while we're at it. fa real. I don't know about this, Ranger fans. I'm predicting good players but a sorry excuse for team spirit. He's not even complaining that much about the money. He just wants to play! DH sucks when you can play EVERY other in field position. just sayin. Man, I'd love to just hug him.
